Artist Statement

My work uses photography to explore the quiet presence of places, people, and atmospheres. I’m drawn to stillness, minimalism, and natural light, which help me in creating images that are both grounded in everyday life and open-ended. Working with film also allows me to slow down and engage more intentionally with the process and the world around me.

My photographs often focus on everyday scenes, ordinary objects, and portraits within fashion settings. These subjects are connected through a consistent visual language of soft tones, subtle emotion, and thoughtful framing. I’m influenced by the rhythm of daily life and by photographers who prioritize restraint, mood, and sensitivity in their approach. In my fashion work, I pay close attention to styling, pose, and direction, using deliberate framing to create images that feel intentional yet calm.

I think of photography as a way of paying attention. Whether I’m observing a quiet moment on the street or photographing someone in a familiar environment, I look for the intersection of light, form, and feeling. I hope my images invite a slower way of seeing, one that lingers on small moments and finds meaning in the seemingly ordinary.
